Period 4 - Semester Final

Part 1

1. My favorite photo from the Lens slideshow is #8 because the lines at the ground are going horizontal, and the swimmers are vertical. Also, you can see the splashes as they dive into the water. I also like that it's called synchronized swimming, but at the point they aren't synchronized.

2. The best photo from the Lens slideshow is #9 because the darkness makes it hard to see a lot of things, but you can see the antlers of the deer and bird. It's also the best because it mostly focuses on the bird and deer.

3. My best work was on the masters of photography, the third picture. Here's the blog link: Masters of Photography - Laszlo Maholy-Nagy. To improve the picture, I would have made the doors straight, and the person slanted instead.

4. My three rules of composition were framing, cropping, and viewpoint.

5.

The two rules that I used were cropping, and framing.

6. Your first rule is "Get Closer".

7. The benefits of working in groups are:
  • You can ask the other people in your group for help
  • Do projects together
  • Get opinions from the other people
  • Other people can help you do the work
  • We can plan what to do together
8. Some difficulties of working in the groups are when:
  • You have to lead the group,
  • People don't want to go outside to shoot
  • No one listens to the direction, so we don't know what to do
  • Everyone in the group stays on their phones
  • Nothing gets done because you're waiting for the other person
9. My favorite work produced by some else in the class is Fourth Photo Submission - Shallow Depth (Alvina Cheng)

Part 2

10. The photographer that I did was Laszlo Moholy-Nagy. One contribution that he made to photography was that he influenced American Art. Also, he established modern aesthetic into American design.
